    Take action for NSW forests

    Public pressure is building to end native forest logging.

    Accelerate this momentum by calling on the NSW Treasurer, Daniel Mookhey, to end native forest logging in NSW.

    How to take action

    Using the form to the right, delete "Write your message here" and type your message in its place using the points below. It’s critical that you make your message as individual and as personal as you can.

    Here are the key points to include in your email:

    • Express your support for the recent letter written by NSW MPs calling for an end to native forest logging in NSW;
    • Since 2020, FCNSW has lost almost $90 million in its hardwood division and has been fined almost $2 million for the unlawful destruction of threatened species habitat and related environmental breaches;
    • It is the responsibility of the shareholder Ministers to hold FCNSW to account for its serial misconduct and to take clear action in the wake of a declining and unviable native forest logging industry;
    • Native forest logging is an industry that is as uneconomic as it is ecologically harmful. NSW should immediately transition to a sustainably managed plantation forestry industry, as other states have done.
