Christine Milne AO - Director

Christine is an environmental activist prominent in the fight to save the Franklin River and leader of the campaign against the Wesley Vale pulp mill in northern Tasmania. She was elected to the Tasmanian Parliament in 1989 and went on to spend the next  25 years leading in Green politics in Tasmania and nationally, campaigning for native forest protection and action to address the global warming and biodiversity crises. She was vice chair of the Council of International Union for the Conservation of Nature in 2004 and continues to work with environmental NGOs around the world.
